Under the patronage of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, the Follow-up Division and the Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, hosted representatives from several specialized security institutions, including the National Security Service, the University Security Directorate, the Financial Intelligence Directorate, and Qi Card Company, to hold an important awareness workshop titled (Electronic Financial Fraud).
Lecturers from Qi Card Company presented the workshop sessions, which focused on methods of protection against online fraud and scams and offered practical guidance on safeguarding bank cards and avoiding sharing personal PIN codes. These efforts aimed to strengthen security awareness among staff and students.
At the workshop’s conclusion, letters of appreciation were presented to the lecturers and participating institutions to recognize their valuable contributions to raising public awareness and promoting financial security within the academic community.
This workshop represents a practical embodiment of Goal 17 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Partnerships for the Goals, which involves collaboration between the academic, security, and private sectors in service of the community.
